All scholarship application packets MUST include:
A. Official transcripts (all applicants)
B. Completed application with signed Statement of Accuracy
C. Typed essay
D. Prepare an essay (Arial Font, 12 pt., 500 words maximum) that addresses the following topic: Explain the significant role Alabama A&M University plays in the Huntsville/Madison County community.
E. Typed personal statement (Arial Font, 12 pt., 250 words maximum). Describe yourself and include your hobbies, educational goals and career.
F. Two letters of recommendation using the form provided or on official letterhead.
G. High School applicants must provide a letter from a high school counselor, teacher, or person of choice from the community (examples include clergy, mentor, coach, advisor, supervisor.
H. AAMU undergraduate students must provide at least one of the two recommendation letters from a professor, supervisor, advisor, or dean currently employed at Alabama A&M University.
I. Letters should be mailed directly from the recommender to the alumni chapter address provided.
J. ACT scores – unofficial copy verified by high school counselor and mailed directly to the AAMU alumni chapter post office box (High School applicants only)
